Raw leather strips are braided around and attached to the shin of gazelles. If a gazelle is hunted, herders and hunters use its shins (lower leg) for whip.
Many horse racing children use it for objective reasons and many people possess it to have it in their office room for subjective reasons. Since the gazelle is a fast, nimble animal, it means fast progress.
No two whips are exactly the same like no two finger prints are the same. Some are weathered, some are fresh and crisp.
